Saturday 11th November - walks ***** – Around Felixstowe - sunny:).

Walk 1.

Woke to a lovely bright blue morning with no plans at all for the day, so had a lazy start before doing my exercises and then I decided to head down to Felixstowe seafront to see the Armistice service near the town hall. The weather was absolutely perfect, wall to wall sunshine with light offshore winds making the sea as flat as a pancake:) Got some nice pics of the service with the glistening sun on the sea a backdrop, the hightlight was the last post played by Kevin Harold :) Then home to sort out my pics and pack a picnic to make the most of the glorisous day:)

Walk 2.

After Mag had finished pottering in the garden we set off down to the seafront for a walk with lunch, we decided to turn left and head towards Jacobs Ladder. The prom was busy with people enjoying the warm winter sunshine, we bumped into an old friend, Roger the bird watcher and stoped to chat before continuing. We found a quiet spot in the last bay just past The Fludyers and too much light a relaxing picnic with stunning views out to sea with the sun shimmering on the water, just perftect:) We were entertained by a dog having fun with a large piece of grannet on the waters edge, well rested we ambled back all the way to the pier doing a quick circuit before returning home for a cuppa, what a top walk:)

It was supposed to be a good night to see the Northern lights again so I headed done to Felixstowe Ferry around nine to check it out but soon realised that it was going to be too foggy on the River Deben for it to work there, also too much light so I drove up the darker and clearer Ferry Road and stopped along there to take a few pics with no luck, can’t win them all!
